An exciting climax to round three of qualifying for our top drivers, with Martin Bayer, out in front where we're used to seeing him, the fastest for 22 laps of the ten minute qualifier, until problems struck during an overtaking maneuver with what he believes are radio issues, sending his car out of control crashing into the barrier, giving way to current EC Markus Feldmann from Germany who continued for one lap until a pin dropped out of his car making it undriveable, finally allowing Bernard-Alain Arnaldi to put in the quickest time 25 laps in 10:17.943. He now ranks 1st, with Feldmann in 2nd and Dario Vesali opting not to run heat 3 is in 3rd place. .
